William E. Parker

William E. Parker, of Waltham, died Monday, June 2, 2025 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 89.

Bill was born in Lynn on February 8, 1936, a son of the late Harold and Estelle (Phaneuf) Parker, and was raised in Hudson. A Waltham resident since 1969, he served with the United States Army during the Korean War and served for more than twenty years in the Army Reserves.

He worked as a welder and equipment operator for Algonquin Gas Company in Westwood until his retirement.

Always one to keep busy, Bill also worked as a part-time policeman for twenty-four years in Fryeburg, Maine where he and his wife Mary spent many happy summer and winter months.

He leaves his wife, Mary M. Biggins; his children, William Parker and Bruce Parker, both of New Hampshire and Ann Flynn of Tewksbury and his grandson, Liam Flynn.

Bill was also the brother of the late Dorothy Morville.

Family and friends will honor and remember Bill’s life by gathering at his Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 13th in Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street, Waltham. Burial will be private.
