William G. (Bill) Chiasson had the good fortune last Friday to have family and friends at his bedside at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. With a glass of champagne in hand, he gave thanks, shared stories, and toasted to his wonderful life. Diagnosed with ALS just a week earlier, Bill understood his time was short, and he devoted every remaining moment to strengthening family bonds and expressing his love and gratitude to all that were a part of his life. He died the way he lived—with a heart full of love, gratitude, and dignity – and yes even a small party. It was a beautifully perfect moment that captured the very essence of the man.
Bill died on Monday, January 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was 81.
He will be remembered as the life of the party, the man with the biggest heart in the room and generous in every sense of the word. He loved life and the people in it. He never needed a special occasion to open his home or have a party—Bill welcomed anyone and everyone.
A proud business owner with a deeply instilled work ethic, Bill built a name and reputation he was proud of. He owned and operated the well-known Three Sons Auto Body Shop on Felton Street in Waltham for more than 25 years before retiring in 1996, even employing friends and family along the way.
William G. Chiasson was born in Waltham on February 17, 1944, the son of Canadian immigrants William J. and Estelle (Savoy) Chaisson. Raised in Waltham, he attended Waltham Vocational High School. He was predeceased by his first wife (divorced) and mother of his children, Judith A. (Connolly) Chiasson of Waltham.
He found love again and married Deborah Carr, later moving to Cape May, New Jersey, where he made his home before he returned to Massachusetts and settled in Natick. In retirement Bill enjoyed more rides on his Harley throughout the United States and Canada, more card games, more time on the water, and countless rounds of golf. Most importantly, it brought more time with family and friends – the true center of his life. The bond with his siblings was especially strong, a testament to how deeply he valued family ties.
Bill leaves his children, Joseph P. Chiasson of Waltham, William P. Chiasson (Nicole) of Natick, and Kerrie L. Blanchard (Thomas) of Waltham; his grandchildren, Joseph Caissie (Victoria), Tori, Connor, and Alexa Blanchard, and Olivia, Will, and Sophia Chiasson; and his great‑grandchildren, Shaye, Patrick, and Carter Caissie. He is also survived by his siblings, Paul Chaisson (Nancy) of Grafton, James Chaisson (Carol) of Plymouth, and Joan Bace (John) of Natick; his brother‑in‑law, Edmond Boudreau of Hopkinton; his former wife, Deborah Carr of Cape May, New Jersey; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Lorraine Boudreau.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Bill’s life on Saturday, February 7th in Saint Patrick’s Church, 44 E. Central Street, Natick where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. followed by a Life Celebration from 12 – 6 p.m. at the home of his son, Bill. Burial is private and there are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, Bill (Pa)would like you to hug a loved one or reconcile with an estranged family member.
