Waltham – Mr. Vincent P. Corcoran, of Waltham, died Sunday, February 20, 2022 in Massachusetts General Hospital with his beloved family by his side. He was 79 years old.
Vincent was born in Waltham on March 14, 1942 to the late Mary J. (Minehan) and Henry F. Corcoran, Sr. A graduate of Waltham High School, he became a police officer for the Town of Weston, retiring at the rank of sergeant with more than forty years of service.
Always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, Vinny will forever be remembered for his affable personality, kind heart, and genuine smile. He loved trips to Aruba and to Hampton Beach and spending time at home working in the yard or tinkering in the garage.
He leaves his wife of twenty-six years, Judith L. "Judy" (DeRamio) Corcoran; his children, Deborah Wood (Tom) of North Andover, Michael Corcoran of Marshfield, Todd Corcoran of Cypress, Texas, Shawn Corcoran of Waltham, and Christopher Corcoran (Cecilia) of Cypress, Texas; his step-children, Kerry DeStefano (Michael) of Waltham, and Jason Lambert (Kristen) of Charlestown; his grandchildren, Ryan, Sevannah, Edna, and Willie Corcoran, Dante and Gabriella DeStefano, and Teddy Lambert; his brothers and sister, Henry F. Corcoran (Marie), William J. Corcoran (Janice), all of Falmouth, and Susan E. Romeo of Amesbury; his brother and sister-in-law, Bernard diBenedetto and Dianne Cedrone (Domenic) and many nieces, nephews, and their families.
He was also the brother of the late Gerald Corcoran and Marilyn A. diBenedetto.
Family and friends will honor and remember Vincent's life by gathering for calling hours on Monday, February 28th from 4 to 7 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham and again at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
