Waltham – Mrs. Valerie (Steinprucker) Page, of Waltham, died peacefully Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Waltham Crossings following a period of declining health, at the age of 95.

Valerie was born on July 14, 1926 in Traiskirchen, Austria and worked for several years for the Austrian Trade Union Federation in Vienna before immigrating to the United States more than fifty years ago.

Following her marriage to Walter Page, she made Waltham her lifelong home where she was a member of Saint Mary's Parish.

She and her family spent many happy summers at their cottage on Sebago Lake in Maine, a place where she found great peace, light, joy and refreshment. Valerie enjoyed swimming and water skiing at the lake and skiing at Sunday River and Shawnee Peak in Maine. She loved her gardens in Maine and in Waltham. She took great pride in their beauty. She got great enjoyment watching the birds at her backyard bird feeders.

The wife of the late Walter G. Page, she leaves her step-children, Patricia A. Stevens of Easthampton and Walter D. Page (Jody) of Worcester; her grandchildren, Shawn M. Stevens (Kari), Paul D. Stevens (Sarah), Brittany D. Page, and Kristen N. LaBrie (Steve) and her great-grandchildren, Sofia Brodeur Stevens, Madeline and Jacob Stevens. She also leaves behind many friends who loved and cared for her for many years.

She was the sister of the late Auguste C. Maschke.

Family and friends will honor and remember Val's life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, September 16th from 10 am to 12pm. Graveside services will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.

Memorial donations may be made to Saint Mary's Parish, 133 School Street, Waltham, MA 02451 or to the charity of one's choice.
