Stephen G. Rooney

Pepperell – Mr. Stephen G. Rooney, of Pepperell, formerly of Waltham, died on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer. He was 59.

Stephen was born in Newton on April 27, 1961, the son of the late Paul B. and Miriam E. (Shea) Rooney. He was raised and educated in Waltham where he graduated from Waltham High with the class of 1979.

He worked for years in the seafood markets and as a cook at local restaurants.

He is survived by his sons, Robert S. Rooney (Kristina Law) of Dennis, Paul S. Rooney (Kelly) of West Yarmouth and Timothy A. Rooney (Samantha Almonte) of West Yarmouth; his grandchildren, Madison, Annabel and Lorelai and his sister, Martha A. Rooney of Randolph.

Family and friends will honor and remember Stephen's life by gathering for his Funeral Mass in Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham on Friday, April 30th at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
