Waltham - Si Wang, died unexpectedly on Friday, January 10, 2020 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital after being stricken ill at home. She was 85.
She was born on January 13, 1934 and immigrated to the United States in 1975 settling in Minnesota where her husband, Kai Tang worked in maintenance for IBM Corp. They moved to Waltham in 1993. Her husband, Kai died unexpectedly on November 22, 2018.
She leaves her children, James Tang (Kin Sau) of Waltham, Vanessa Lehn (Jason) of Waltham and Shi Chiau Phongsy of Toronto, Canada; her grandchildren Harry Tang, Eric Tang, Anthony Tang, Jane Phongsy, Annie Phongsy, William Lenh and Kenny Lenh; her great-grandchildren Mason Tang, Jaxon Tang, Dylan Phoxay, Colin Phoxay and Emma Tang.
She enjoyed cooking for family and keeping active with daily walks, trips to the casino and time spent with her family.
Family and friends will honor and remember Si's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, January 17th from 4 to 8 p.m. Her Funeral ceremonies will begin at 7 a.m. Saturday, January 18th in the funeral home followed by a procession to Mount Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect Street, Waltham for 12 Noon burial.
