Robert G. Walsh

Mr. Robert G. Walsh, of Waltham, died Saturday, December 24, 2022 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.  He was 84.

Bob was born in Boston on December 22, 1938, a son of the late Francis and Frances ‘Lil’ (Mulvey) Walsh, and grew up in Bedford.  After graduating from Bedford High School he served with the United States Marine Corps.

He worked for years as a roofer with Local 33 of the Roofers Union and after retirement kept busy with part-time jobs.  Bob was a loyal follower of the Red Sox and Bruins and followed current events and local and national politics with equal devotion.

Bob was the husband of the late Nancy C. (Gentile) Walsh and is the father of Kelly A. McLaughlin (James), Kathleen A. Walsh (Andrew); grandfather of Jillian, Sean, Alexandra, Robert ‘Max’, Nicolas, Audrey, Kacie, Andrea, Jacob; great-grandfather of Kaia; father-in-law of Dan Daley and brother of Francis and John Walsh.

He was also the father of the late Kerri A. Walsh-Daly.

Family and friends will honor and remember Bob’s life by gathering to visit at 11 a.m. on Friday morning, December 30^th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by his funeral service at 12 noon.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
