Robert W. Noke

Robert W. Noke, of Fitchburg, passed away peacefully at home this past Friday, December 16, 2022 with his wife, Diane, and his dog, Bella, by his side. He was 69.

Bob was born in Waltham on January 2, 1953, the son of Herbert and Teresa (Lynch) Noke. Raised in Waltham, he was a graduate of Waltham High School. He then served honorably in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk from 1972 to 1975.

After the Navy Bob attended Sylvania JT Technical School in Waltham. He then had a long and successful career at Raytheon in Waltham until he retired after more than 30 years of service.

Bob loved being in the company of his family and friends and enjoyed watching sports. He loved spending time at home doing projects and spending time with all his dogs over the years. He will be greatly missed.

Bob is predeceased by his parents Herbert and Terry, and his brothers, David Noke and Michael Noke, Sr.

He is survived by his wife Diane (Smith) Noke; his sisters Kathy Malloy (Michael), Ruth Lacroix (Wayne); his sisters-in-law, Edie Noke, Debbie Snow (Ed) and Cindy Barrus. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and their families, and his family at heart, Ronan and Andrea Staff and Paula and Peter McSweeney and their families.

Family and friends will honor and remember Bob’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, December 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. followed by his funeral service beginning at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bob’s name to Beacon Hospice Care, an Amedisys Company, 36 Williams Street, Leominster, Massachusetts 01453.
