Robert L. Fraser

Woburn – Mr. Robert L. Fraser, Sr., of Woburn, formerly of Waltham died at home on Monday, April 18, 2022 following a four year battle with cancer. He was 73.

Bob was born in Harrington, Maine, and moved to Waltham as a youngster. He attended Waltham Vocational High School and worked for years in the maintenance department for the Town of Winchester and before that in the same capacity at the Gifford School in Weston.

On September 3, 1972 he married Waltham native Nancy M. Cotterly in Saint Charles Borromeo Church and the couple made Waltham their home before moving to Woburn in 1999. Bob and his family enjoyed vacation trips to Jonesboro, Maine.

In addition to his wife, Nancy, he leaves his children, Kevin S. Fraser (Kristine) of Arlington and Robert L. Fraser, Jr. (Michelle) of Wakefield; his grandchildren, Adam and Andrew Fraser; his mother, Winifred (Steele) (Fraser) Peabody of Millbridge, Maine; his brothers, Lawrence Fraser of Cathedral City, California, Stephen Peabody (Margaret), Timothy Peabody (Annette), all of Jonesport, Maine and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was also a son of the late Richie Fraser, step-son of the late Wayne Peabody and a brother of the late William Fraser.

Family and friends will honor and remember Bob's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, April 25th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 11 a.m. on Tuesday morning when his funeral service will be held. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
