Pocasset - Mr. Richard V. Kennedy, of Pocasset, formerly of Waltham, died Friday, January 19, 2007 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was 73. Born in Needham, a son of the late Robert and Lillian (Keller) Kennedy, Richard lived in Waltham for many years before moving to Pocasset in 2002. Richard was a machinest for thirty years for Mobil Solar Energy Corporation in Waltham before operating his own business, Productive Concepts Inc. in Billerica, until his retirement. Richard collected classic sports cars, enjoyed everything about auto mechanics and loved cars in general. He was the husband of the late Jean M. (Walsh) Kennedy and brother of the late Robert Kennedy. He leaves his children, Cheryl A. Kennedy-Hepburn and her husband, Harry, of Dunstable, Patricia J. Johnson and her husband, Ricky, of Ayer and Richard V. Kennedy and his wife, Donna, of Forestdale; two grandchildren, Curtis J. Johnson and Samantha J. Johnson; his longtime companion, Barbara Alesse of Wareham and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home 245 Main Street(Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Watertown. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
