Philip J. Jones

Waltham – Mr. Philip J. Jones, of Waltham, formerly of Newton, died Monday, August 27, 2007. He was 50. Born in Brighton, a son of Ethel B. (McElroy) Jones of Newton and the late Philip F. Jones, he was a salesman for many years for Wholesale Door Company in Watertown. Philip was a 1975 graduate of Newton North High School and was a former baseball director and minor league coach for the North Waltham Little League. He leaves his wife Sharon A. (Moody) Jones; three sons, Philip J. Jones, Jr., Timothy M. Jones and Nicholas P. Jones all of Waltham; three granddaughters, Julia May. Leonora Anne, and Jaclyn Ann and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 8:30 a.m. Friday from the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
