Peter E. Kimmins

Peter E. Kimmins, 55, of Newburyport, passed away on March 24, 2022.

The father of his beloved children, Kennedy (Helen) Kimmins and Samuel Kimmins, Peter is also survived by his parents, Peter N. and Bridget (O'Brien) Kimmins of Watertown; his wife, Tammy Newman of Newburyport and his brother, Sean Kimmins and his wife, Jill of Sandown, New Hampshire.

Born in Newton and raised in Watertown, Peter attended the Rhode Island School of Design, the ideal environment for his creative mind to flourish. His gift for illustration and graphic design led to an accomplished career as a web designer, illustrator and creative director. Peter combined his extraordinary talent with meticulous hard work and vision to capture the intricacies, beauty and vulnerability of the human form in a way that very few artists can convey.

He was an active member of the art community, volunteering his time as a board member of the Newburyport Art Association and Newburyport Cultural Council. His greatest joys were spending time with his son Sam and sitting in front of his sketch book, honing his lifelong craft as an artist, and he will be dearly missed.

Family and friends will honor and remember Peter's life by gathering to visit at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 31st in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by his Memorial Service at 11 a.m. Burial is private.
