Waltham – Mr. Paul A. McCassie of Waltham died Thursday, August 28, 2003 in his home. He was 79. Born in Rye NH, Mr. McCassie had lived in Waltham since 1965. He was the purchasing agent for the Chandler and Farquer company until his retirement twelve years ago. Mr. McCassie was a World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Army. He was the husband of the late Ruth E. (Wiles) McCassie and the brother of the late Elbert, Linwood, James, and Bessie McCassie. Mr. McCassie is survived by his children, Paul McCassie of West Roxbury and William A. McCassie and his wife, Catherine, of Waltham; his sister, Marguerite Harris of Lynn; his daughter-in-law, Vickie McCassie of Amesbury; 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham. Burial will be in Newton Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday morning from 9-10 a.m. Donations in Mr. McCassie’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 36 Cameron Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02140 would be appreciated.
