Retired Waltham Firefighter Paul J. LeBlanc died on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the E.N. Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford. He was 68.
Paul was born in Boston on December 27, 1956, a son of the late Paul and Lorraine (Tolan) LeBlanc, and was a 1974 graduate of Waltham High School. After that he served for three years with the United States Army during the end of the Vietnam War.
He joined the Waltham Fire Department in November, 1980 and proudly served the city until his retirement in May, 2013. He was stationed primarily at Squad 5 on Moody Street and then at Engine 2 at the Central Station until his retirement.
Paul was also a long time member the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge No. 1018, in Waltham.
He leaves his granddaughter, Stella LeBlanc; his sister-in-law, Karen LeBlanc of Watertown and his former wife, Marjorie LeBlanc of Framingham.
In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his daughter, Lauren A. LeBlanc and his sister and brothers, Marie Faherty, Joseph, Lawrence and Mark LeBlanc.
Family and friends will honor and remember Paul’s life by gathering for a Morning Wake in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, August 14th from 9 to 10 a.m. before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Waltham.
