Nancy J. Calson

Nancy Jean Calson (Silva), 77, passed away in Salem, New Hampshire, formerly of Waltham, on September 12, 2025, after a long struggle with respiratory illness.

Born July 14, 1948, she was raised in Waltham, Massachusetts by parents John and Barbara Silva. She married John Calson in 1968, moving to Burlington, Massachusetts in 1979 to raise their two beloved sons. Nancy and John later retired in 2005 to Ormond Beach, Florida, where she lived until August 2025.

Nancy was a passionate hairdresser, having worked at 'Beautyville' in Waltham for many years. She made many lasting friendships whilst trimming and dyeing hair. She was an avid fan of sports and racing, as well as a deep lover of animals and gardening.

She leaves behind two sons, Steve Calson (Vivian Calson) of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, Scott Calson (Kelly Foster) of Manchester, New Hampshire; her dearest friend Jennifer Kingsland (Cody Kingsland), and her soul-cat Missy. She was predeceased by her loving husband John, on May 2, 2020.

Funeral services are private.
