Michael P. McGuire

December 26, 1948 — July 24, 2026

Wayland

Wayland - Mike McGuire would proudly tell anyone he was from Waltham, but since 1977, Wayland was truly the place he called home. He loved his little oasis on Dean Road, where there was always a project to tackle, whether inside the house or out in the yard. Yet nothing brought him greater joy than filling that home with family and friends. His backyard and pool became the setting for countless gatherings over the years, creating countless cherished memories.

Mike also had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the wildlife that surrounded him. He delighted in feeding the many birds and creatures that visited his yard and found peace in nature's simple pleasures.

A lifelong fisherman, Mike treasured every opportunity to cast a line. Today, those who loved him find comfort in imagining that he has been welcomed into God's safe landing net. Mike died peacefully at the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, July 24, 2026. He was 77.
