Mr. Michael D. Jones, of Marlborough, formerly of Waltham, died Thursday, December 23, 2022 in Marlborough Hospital. He was 41.
Michael was born in Newton on December 15, 1981, a son of Douglas and Donna (Boisvert) Jones, of Laconia, New Hampshire. Raised in Waltham, he was a graduate of Waltham High School with the class of 2000 and continued his studies at Bentley University.
He had lived in Chestnut Hill before moving to Marlborough where he worked for several years as a bartender and manager at Wildwood Steak House in Marlborough.
In his free time he always enjoyed playing a round of golf and in June of this past year was able to attend the U.S. Open. In addition he was an avid Boston sports fan and especially loved the Red Sox. Michael also spent many happy summers with his family at their cottage on Lake Winnepesaukee, and was known for his affection towards his dogs, Weber and Matilda.
In addition to his parents, he leaves his sister, Melissa A. Jones of South Boston; his aunts, Sharon Hegarty (Mark) of Waltham and Theresa Medeiros (John) of Tiverton, Rhode Island; and his cousins, Michele Dalrymple of Newport, Rhode Island and Ryan Hegarty of Billerica.
A life celebration for Michael will be planned in the spring.
