Meredith MacIvor

Meredith “Merry” MacIvor, 53, departed her earthly home on Monday, August 24, 2026. Born on June 3, 1973; Meredith lived a life marked by resilience, humor, and a deep capacity for love. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Brandon; her grandchild, Casey Jones Baker; her brother, Erik MacIvor; her parents, James Glidden and Rita MacIvor; her grandparents, John and Bertha and her niece, Kristina Norton. 

She is survived by her daughter, Kaitlyn (Rudy) Baker; her sister, Kimberly (Tony) Clemente; her nephews, Anthony and Vinny Clemente; her nephew, Dustin Daly; her chosen family, Jack, Marisa, Jared, and Justin Mahon; and her best friend, Theresa Muise. 

Meredith was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She dedicated her career to cardiac imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital, where her compassion and commitment touched countless lives.

Though the last eight months brought a difficult medical journey, they do not define her story. Her fifty-three years were filled with laughter, sharp wit, sarcasm that could brighten even the heaviest day, and a heart that simply wanted to love and be loved in return. Her presence, humor, and spirit will be forever missed.

Family and friends will honor and remember Merry’s life by gathering for an Afternoon Wake in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday, August 30th from 2 to 4 p.m. and will conclude with her funeral service at 4 p.m. Burial will be private.
