Waltham – Mary P. Curtin of Waltham died Wednesday, August 17, 2016, in the Newton-Wellesley Center for Alzheimer's Care in Wellesley. She was 84.
Mary was born on January 10, 1932, a daughter of the late Michael J. and Helena G. (Mitchell) Curtin. She attended Northeastern University and then went on to work as the head of the X-Ray department at The Waltham Hospital for thirty-seven years. After that, she worked at the law firm of Curtin, Murphy, & O'Reilly in Boston until her retirement.
She was a devout parishioner of Our Lady's Church in Waltham and was an avid reader. She loved attending family events and held her nieces and nephews in the highest regard.
Mary was the sister of the late Richard J. Curtin, Gerald M. Curtin, and Barbara M. Rotchford.
She is survived by her sister-in-law of Dorothy M. Curtin and her brother-in-law, Edward R. "Red" Rotchford both of Waltham and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Mary's life by gathering on Saturday, August 20th, at 9:30 am in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
