February 27, 1935 — August 6, 2003

Waltham – Mrs. Mary T. (Pistorio) Centola of Waltham and Yarmouthport died Wednesday August 6, 2003 at Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge. She was 68. Mrs. Centola was a Medical Technologist for many years at Sancta Maria Hospital in Cambridge and Norwood Hospital before her retirement. She was a former member of the Waltham Garden Club. Mrs. Centola was the daughter of the late Nunzio Pistorio. She is survived by her husband Alfred R. Centola, her children Christine R. Gordon and her husband Charles Jr, Valerie A. Quigley and her husband Neil of Medway, Mark R. Centola and his wife Joanne of Framingham, and Cynthia M. Rogers and husband Gary of Waltham. Daughter of Angelina Ventura of Windham, NH. Sister of Robert Pistorio of Windham, NH. Grandmother of Stephanie, Nicole, Allison, Alessandra, Derek, Stephen, Samantha, Taylor, and Nicholas. The Funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 am from the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 10am. Burial will be in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Watertown. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. pm. Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309.
