Mary Beth Mizzoni

July 12, 1957 — September 12, 2021

Mary Beth (Fedele) Mizzoni, of Waltham, died at home on Sunday, September 12, 2021 with her family at her side. She was 64.

Mary Beth Fedele was born on July 12, 1957, in Waltham the second child to the late Salvatore E. and Genevieve D. (Lembo) Fedele. Raised in Waltham she was a 1975 graduate of Waltham High School.

Following graduation, she worked at city hall and the court house. Later she became a nursing home activities coordinator. Being young-at-heart, her best jobs were those she had working as a day care teacher. She also taught CCD for a few years at the Sacred Heart Church.

Her most favorite jobs were Mother, to her four daughters, and Grandmother to her five grandchildren – or as the kids called her: Nama, Mema, or Nana. A visit to her house always included something fun to do.

Mary Beth was fun, creative, artistic, and had many talents. She had a green thumb and created lovely gardens year after year. She loved the piano and played beautiful music, which she composed. She designed and made her own wedding dress and communion dresses for her daughters. She loved to paint, mostly landscapes, and even made murals at the Bright school when her daughters were there. She could do all kinds of crafts including ceramics for which she had her own molds and a kiln. She made Christmas wreaths, ornaments, angels, jewelry – to name a few- which she would give as gifts or sell at holiday fairs. She also restored antique "Ginny" dolls and made charming outfits for them.

She loved animals, especially cats – her favorites being Mickey, Gray, and Dexter.

Her family was constantly being entertained by her mostly spontaneous performances that could be intellectual or physical. She could mimic several accents and created all kinds of characters, made funny faces, and did kooky dances.

She was generous, spiritual, insightful and wise, gave the best advice just when you needed it, and would then cheer you up with a delicious home cooked meal.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She admirably kept her spirits up throughout her long illness and never stopped making her "audience" laugh.

She leaves her children, Jessica M. Fedele (Steven Gage) of Nashua, New Hampshire, Genevieve Fedele (Edwin Torres) of Waltham, Gina M. Mizzoni (Joseph Chalernsouk) of Lowell and Johanna R. Trombley of Waltham; her grandchildren, George J. Carson III, John D. Carson, Gianna and Joseph R. Chalernsouk, Giovanni and Mya Torres; her sister, Carol A. Noonan (late Steven) of Waltham; nieces, Elise and Cathy Ordile of Waltham; and many cousins including Laura Cannon of Waltham. Mary Beth was the wife of the late Robert P. Mizzoni.

Family and friends will honor and remember Mary Beth's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, September 17th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery, Waltham.
