Mary T. Barrett, of West Newton, formerly of Brighton, died Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at West Newton Healthcare. She was 94.

Mary was born in Brighton on February 13, 1932 together with her twin sister, Nora. She was a lifelong resident of Brighton and a 1951 graduate of Saint Columbkille High School.

Until her retirement Mary worked for years as an operator for the New England Telephone Company. She belonged to several bowling leagues including the phone company team and had been a faithful parishioner and long active in Saint Columbkille Parish.

She was a daughter of the late Margaret Barrett. Her twin sister, Nora A. Beaulieu, died just a few hours later in Dover, New Hampshire. Mary was also the beloved sister-in-law to Nora’s late husband, Adrian Beaulieu.

She leaves her niece and nephew, Denise Beaulieu of Rochester, New Hampshire and David Beaulieu of Dover, New Hampshire and her grandniece and grandnephew, Alexa of Washington, D.C., and Hayden of Alton, New Hampshire.

Family and friends will honor and remember Mary’s life by gathering for a Morning Wake on Wednesday, June 24th from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by her funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
