Martha E. Keating

November 29, 1949 — March 17, 2026

Wayland

Martha E. Keating, of Wayland, died on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 76.

Martha was born in Waltham on November 29, 1949, a daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth (Fitzsimons) Keating and was raised in Wayland where she remained a lifelong resident.

Until her retirement she worked as a senior academic coordinator for Bentley University’s Natural and Applied Sciences Department. Martha thoroughly enjoyed her thirty plus years working at Bentley where her friendly nature and ready smile earned her many friends over the years.

In retirement she stayed connected to her ‘Bentley Group’ by getting together socially several times a year. A visit back to the campus was always an occasion to reconnect and to help where needed.

She leaves her sister and brother, Elizabeth Keating Hill (Gordon) of Cotuit and William F. Keating of Wayland and several nieces, nephews and their families.

Martha was also a sister of the late Paul Keating.

Family and friends will honor and remember Martha’s life by gathering for an Evening Wake in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, March 23rd from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 11 a.m. on Tuesday morning when her Funeral Service will be held. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
