Mark S. Quinn

Mr. Mark S. Quinn, of Newburyport, died Sunday, February 8, 2026 at his home. He was 72.

Mark was born and raised in Waltham, a son the late Joseph and Barbara (Robinson) Quinn and was a graduate of Waltham High School.

Until his retirement he worked for more than forty years as a materials handler for the Hewlett-Packard Company. Mark was also a longtime member of the Newburyport Elks Lodge No. 909. His affable nature earned many friends wherever he went. He will long be remembered for portraying Santa Claus at holiday events for the Elks and for family.

An avid outdoorsman he was a lifelong hunter and fisherman and a member of area gun clubs.

In addition to his parents, Mark was predeceased by his brother Michael J. Quinn and his fiancé, Cynthia Hanson.

He survived by his nephews, Michael Quinn of Waltham, Matthew Quinn (Melissa) of Canton and Timothy Quinn (Christine) of Attleboro; his grand nieces and nephews, Kelsey McCabe (Ed) Claire, Morgan, Calvin, Connor, Chloe, Colin and Caitlin Quinn and his great grand –nephew, Boston McCabe.

Family and friends will honor and remember Mark’s life by gathering for a Morning Wake in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Route 20) Waltham on Thursday, February 26th from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. before leaving in procession to Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burialwill be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
