Born on July 16, 1931 in Waltham to the late Joseph C. and Mary (Livingston) Brennan, Marie was the eldest of five children. She was a natural caretaker who showed a deep commitment to those she loved.

Marie was graceful, steadfast and humble. Her family was her soul and she built a beautiful life surrounded by those she loved. She enjoyed family trips to Cape Cod, Florida and Westport. One of her favorite pastimes was watching a vibrant pink sunset over the water. Marie stopped to find beauty wherever she went.
Marie is survived by her daughters, Karen Yorston of Waltham, Judi Anderson and her husband Paul, of Ipswich, Mary Ellen Ferolito and her husband, Joseph of Reading, and Trisha (Patricia) Yorston and her husband Gus Mueller, of Jefferson; her sisters, Patricia Carry of Texas, Peggy Willams of Connecticut and her sister-in-law, Barbara Yorston of Marlboro. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Valene Hickey and her husband Dean, Andrew Ferolito, Kitch Ferolito, Vickie Beers and her husband Warren, Olivia Groom and her husband Brian, Craig Anderson, and Drew Anderson. Marie was the proud and doting great-grandmother to eight. In her later years, her great-grandchildren brought her immeasurable joy. She was also the devoted “Aunt Marie” to many nieces and nephews.
Marie was predeceased in death by her sister, Barbara Williamson of Hubbardston, and her brother Joseph Brennan and his wife Carol, of Waltham.
