Marguerite V. (Hall) Carter

Mrs. Marguerite V. (Hall) Carter, formerly of Middleborough, died Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the Stone Rehabilitation and Senior Living in Newton.  She was 98.

Margie was born in Boston on June 24, 1924, a daughter of the late Herbert and Annie (Hoag) Hall, and was raised in Roxbury.  She was a graduate of Saint Patrick’s High School in Roxbury and later moved with her family to Dorchester.

She and her late husband, Paul Carter, lived in Middleboro for more than forty years having moved there from Roslindale.  Until her retirement Margie worked for years as a nutritionist at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston and later at the Shaw Home in Middleboro.

Devoted to her faith, Margie was a daily communicant at her parish in Middleboro.

She was a sister of the late Herbert, James, John, Edward, Frank and Thomas Hall, Irene Chartier, Edith Scribner and Helen Walls and leaves many nieces, nephews and their families.

Family and friends will honor and remember Marguerite’s life by gathering at her Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 19th in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham.  Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
