Margaret Ann (Juker) Fredrickson

August 25, 1942 — June 8, 2025

Waltham

Margaret Ann (Juker) Fredrickson, lovingly known as Peggy, passed away on Sunday June 8, 2025, at the age of 82. She was surrounded by her loving family in her final moments at Benchmark Senior Living at Waltham Crossings.

Born on August 25, 1942, in Broken Bow, Nebraska, Peggy was the beloved daughter of Wilma Evelyn Wood (Headley) and Louis Donald Juker. Raised by her mother and stepfather, Forrest Durwood Wood, she grew up in a close-knit community filled with fond memories of managing the local drive-in and town movie theater. Peggy shared a deep and unbreakable bond with her sister, Karen, who was not only her sibling but also her lifelong best friend. Their time together was filled with laughter, countless games of Boggle, and a treasury of shared secrets.

Peggy’s intelligence and determination shone early in life. She graduated as valedictorian of Broken Bow High School before earning a degree in political science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Though naturally reserved, those who knew her cherished her warmth, quick wit, and deep devotion to her family.

Above all, Peggy found her greatest joy in motherhood. She raised her three daughters with unwavering love and laughter in Millis, Massachusetts, always offering a comforting word or a helping hand to those she loved. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family to her work as a preschool teacher and floral designer, where she brightened the lives of others. However, nothing brought her more happiness than her grandchildren, with whom she spent treasured moments playing double solitaire, board games, and sharing stories.

Peggy created wonderful memories with her loved ones, whether vacationing in Newport, Rhode Island, skiing in Vermont and New Hampshire, and enjoyed a recent summer trip to Cape Cod with her grandchildren. A woman of creativity and passion, she embraced a wide range of interests, including gardening, pottery, painting, knitting, sewing, playing the piano, ballroom dancing, and playing tennis. She was a devoted Nebraska football fan, rarely missing a game, and found companionship in her cherished cat, Ivy.

A dedicated member of the Millis Church of Christ, Peggy drew strength from her faith and the community it provided.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Julie Domino (Peter) of Marlborough, Dina Snider (Bill) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Vicki Kellam (Judith) of Waltham; her adored grandchildren, Michael Domino, Justin Snider, Adelle Snider, Cameron Kellstein, and Emma Kellstein; and her beloved sister, Karen Joyce Collicott of Middleborough, along with her four nieces.

Family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate Peggy’s life on Sunday, June 15th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, Waltham, for visitation from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM, followed by her funeral service at 1:00 PM.
