Loretta A. (Pintabona) Cianchi

Loretta A. (Pintabona) Cianchi, of Woburn, died Friday, May 23, 2025 at Lahey Hospital in Burlington. She was 97.

Loretta was born at home in Newton on October 30, 1927 to the late Philip and Francesca (Orifici) Pintabona and lived in Newton, Waltham and in Somerville before moving to Woburn in 1967.

She worked as a secretary for years at the Polaroid Corporation, New England Electroplate,

Bausch + Lomb and at Home Instead until her retirement.

Loretta leaves her children, Linda J. Fallon (Edward) of Parrish, Florida, Jeanne E. Wallace (Hugh) of Westford and John T. Cianchi of Lincoln, New Hampshire; her grandchildren, Lauren and Jay Wallace and Scott Fallon; her sister, Anita Gallagher of Weston and several nieces and nephews.

She was also a sister of the late Philip, Carl, Bresci, Ernest, Dante and Henry Pintabona, Violet Murray, Grace Bellino, Louise Cannistraro and Ada Hartman.

Family and friends will honor and remember Loretta’s life by gathering for an Evening Wake in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, May 29th from 4 to 7 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday morning in Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
