Leonard J. Woods

Waltham – Mr. Leonard J. Woods, of Waltham, died Friday, November 14, 2008 at Kindred Hospital, Waltham. He was 79. Born in Waltham, a son of the late Glenn and Agnes (Smith) Woods, Lenny was a Waltham High School graduate and a lifelong resident. During the Korean War he served as a staff sergeant with the United States Air Force. Until his retirement he worked as a marble polisher for Precourt Stone Company in Sudbury. Lenny was also an avid hunter, fisherman and Boston sports fan. He leaves his brother, Charles Woods of Arlington; two sisters, Barbara Hamm of Natick and Elizabeth Ryan of Marlborough and many nieces and nephews. He was also a brother of the late George and John Woods. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Lenny's Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are omitted.
