Salem, NH

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Kenneth Robert Bagnall (Kenny), 62, who died unexpectedly on May 28th, surrounded by his loved ones. Kenny was born on July 31, 1960, in Waltham, Massachusetts, to Robert T. Bagnall and Janis E. Bagnall (Maloney). Kenny is a 1979 graduate of Waltham High School. Kenny graduated from Northeastern University and went on to earn a Juris Doctor Degree from the Massachusetts School of Law.

Kenny was a beloved son, brother, husband, uncle, and friend. Throughout his life, he possessed a heart of gold, a sense of humor, and a remarkable ability to bond with others. Kenny’s passion in life was always to place the value of others before himself. He had a way of reminding us all to appreciate freedom, liberty, and humor in every moment. Kenny was a consummate competitor in every sport he played, but often let others win. He shared with enjoyment his winning golf tournaments with Shaun, Russell, and other close friends at his beloved Wayland Country Club. Kenny especially enjoyed giving back to the community, specifically in his positions as a committee member of the Waltham Hawks Golf Classic and as a Board member of the Rides to Recovery.

After blazing a trail of laughter throughout his youth, Kenny found his true partner and love, Kate. Their union was a perfect blend of comedy and compassion, with Kate often playing the straight man to Kenny's endless repertoire of jokes. Together, they crafted a life full of laughter and cherished moments, reminding us all of the power of a shared smile.

Although Kenny's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will forever live on. We find solace in the shared memories, the laughter we experienced together, and the love he so generously gave. Kenny's legacy of joy, laughter, and love will continue to inspire us and remind us to cherish every precious moment.

Kenny is survived by his loving family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have been touched by his unique spirit. In addition to his loving partner of twenty-three years, Kate Driscoll, Kenny leaves his parents, Robert and Janis Bagnall of Marshfield, brothers , Timothy R. Bagnall (Waltham), Jonathan .R Bagnall and his wife, Caroline Pereira Bagnall (Waltham), Christopher R. Bagnall and his partner Vanessa Lukosus (Lincoln), Robert T. Bagnall, Jr. (Waltham) and his sister, Kerry A. Bagnall (Marshfield). Kenny (the “Funcle”) also leaves behind eight nephews, whom he loved with all his heart and Ashley DeFilippo, his step-daughter, whom he loved unconditionally.
