Julieanne (Curtis) O’Neill

April 22, 1944 — May 17, 2025

Cape Coral, Florida

Julieanne (Curtis) O’Neill of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Medway and Waltham, passed away on May 17, 2025, at Milford Regional Medical Center. She was 81.

Born in Framingham on April 22, 1944, Julieanne was the daughter of the late Stanley and Hilda (Anderson) Curtis. She was raised and educated in Waltham, where she graduated from Waltham High School. Julieanne met the love of her life, Robert O’Neill, while enjoying one of her favorite past-times, the beach. Julieanne and Robert started their courtship on Salisbury Beach, and the couple soon married in St. Columbkille’s Church in Brighton. They settled in Medway, where they raised their son. Later, they decided to retire to Cape Coral, Florida to enjoy the warmer winters and the abundant sunshine.

Julieanne’s family was the cornerstone of her life. She took great pride in her son, Douglas, and his wife, Kristina, and found endless happiness in the company of her grandsons, Brandon and Kevin. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or simply being together, these moments were among her most treasured.

Julieanne was a woman of many interests and passions. She was an avid reader, often losing herself in the pages of a good book. Her love for the beach was evident in the countless hours she spent soaking up the sun and listening to the waves. She cherished spending time with friends, frequently gathering for dinners or movie outings. Julieanne also had a passion for travel, with a particular fondness for sailing on cruises across the Caribbean.

Julieanne was always eager to lend a helping hand. She was deeply involved with volunteering at Grace Church in Cape Coral, Florida, where her faith and dedication to serving others shone brightly. She also served her community by volunteering at the local police department in Cape Coral.

Julieanne was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert O’Neill, who passed away in 2008, and by her brother, Ronald Curtis.

She is survived by her son, Douglas R. O’Neill, and his wife, Kristina, of Norfolk; her grandsons, Brandon and Kevin O’Neill; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Julieanne’s life by gathering for an Evening Wake at the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main St., Waltham, on Thursday, May 22, from 4 to 7 PM.
