Judith Ann Loughry (née Barton), 71, of Sudbury, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Kevin G. Loughry, who predeceased her in 2022.
Born on October 26, 1954, in Springfield, Massachusetts, Judy was a daughter of the late Richard and Barbara (Cramer) Barton. Raised in Norwood, she was a graduate of Norwood High School. She earned her bachelor's degree from Alfred University and later received her master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst. Judy enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a clinical data manager in the pharmaceutical industry, where she worked for many years supporting drug and vaccine research for various entities.
Judy found great happiness in summers spent at Lake Sunapee in New Hampshire throughout her life. She enjoyed attending live music and concerts, especially Tanglewood. Most importantly, Judy cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and sister, whose greatest joy was time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Kristin Loughry (Gaby) of New Haven, CT and Kevin F. Loughry of Sudbury. She is also survived by her siblings, Christopher Barton (Sarah Tebbens) of Xenia, OH; Joan Kuntz (John) of Centennial, CO; Susan McKenna (Michael) of Ipswich; and Bruce Barton (Sarah) of Plymouth, NH, along with many nieces and nephews and their families.
Family will honor and remember Judy’s life with a private funeral service and burial on Tuesday, May 19.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Judy's honor.
