Joseph G. Sawtelle

Mr. Joseph G. Sawtelle, of Waltham, died unexpectedly on January 27, 2026. He was 68.

Joseph was born on April 17, 1957 in Boston a son of the late Joseph P. and Ann (Georgaqui) Sawtelle and remained a lifelong Waltham resident.

 He leaves his sister, Jayne M. Albano and her husband, Ben of Eastham; nieces Sierra Kehn (Steve), Lily Sawtelle and Jasmine Sawtelle; great nephew and niece, Everett and Ann; his aunt, Helen Georgaqui and uncle, William Georgaqui, both of Boston and many longtime friends from his thirty-two-year residence at Marguerite Place in Waltham. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, John Sawtelle and Nancy Sawtelle.

Joe had a passion for sports and faithfully followed all the New England sporting teams and was excellent at knowing various statistics about various teams and players.

 Funeral services and burial in Newton Cemetery are private.
