Mr. Joseph D. Salvucci, of Brighton, died Saturday, June 24, 2023, in Meadow Green Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Waltham. He was 69.

Joseph was born on July 27, 1953 in Brighton, the son of the late Donato and Gerarda (Antonellis) Salvucci. He was a graduate of Brighton High School and earned an Associate degree from Graham Junior College in Boston.

Joseph worked in the food service industry as chef at various business cafeterias including Rebecca’s Café. He enjoyed gardening and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox. 

He leaves his sister, Carmella Salvucci of Malden; his cousins including Loretta Salvucci McClary of Waltham, Costanzo Salvucci (Linda) of Northborough and Joseph Salvucci (Eleanor) of Tewksbury. 

The family is very grateful to Joseph’s caretaker and friend Denise Groen of Milford, who cared for him in his time of need. 

Family and friends will honor and remember Joseph’s life by gathering on Wednesday, June 28th in Saint Columbkille's Church, 321 Market Street, Brighton where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Brighton.
