Joseph Muise

Mr. Joseph A. Muise, of Waltham, died at home on Thursday, June 27, 2024. He was 83. 

Joseph was born on June 22, 1941 in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada a son of the late Pierre T. and Marie Dorothy ‘Dottie’ (Amirault) Muise. Educated in Canada he then moved to the United States in 1958 settling in Malden and later moving to Waltham. Joseph served in the U.S. Army National Guard. 

Joe worked as a welder for Metal Spinners Corporation before retiring.

Joe enjoyed friendships from membership in the French American Club in Waltham and was a fifty-year member of the Free Masons at The Independence Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Malden. He took visits home to his native Yarmouth, Nova Scotia three to four times a year to be with family and friends and enjoy being 'back home'. 

He leaves his longtime companion and partner of 17 years, Jeanne L. Linnane of Waltham and her family, Lisa Negron (Robert) of Marlborough and Laura Segien-Sullivan (Timothy Sullivan) of Waltham. his siblings, Vernon Muise of Everett, Arnold Muise of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Norma Geaty of Malden, Debbie Walsh of Everett and the late Marilyn Mosonyi; also survived by many nieces & nephews. 

Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada at the convenience of the family.
