John J. Malvey

Waltham – Mr. John J. Malvey of Waltham died Monday, September 8, 2003 in Newton Wellesley Hospital. He was 77. Born in Arlington, Mr. Malvey had lived in Waltham for many years and worked as the store room manager at the Fernald State School in Waltham for fifteen years. Mr. Malvey served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Malvey was the husband of the late Margaret M. (Murphy) Malvey and the son of the late John and Agnes (Kiley) Malvey. He is survived by his children, Kevin J. Malvey of California, Brian J. Malvey of Washington, Gary F. Malvey of Boston, and Donna Marie of West Virginia; his sister, Mary Root of California; and two grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held at 12 noon Friday in Calvary Cemetery, 250 High Street, Waltham.
