John M. Connelly

Framingham – Mr. John M. Connelly, of Framingham, formerly of Waltham, died Saturday, August 20, 2022 at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. He was 84.

John was born in Waltham on June 10, 1938, a son of the late John and Margaret (O'Connell) Connelly and was a graduate of Waltham Vocational High School. After that John served for four years with the United States Marine Corps.

He was a lifelong Waltham resident before moving to Framingham nine years ago. Until his retirement John worked for years as a custodian at Bentley College in Waltham.

He was an aficionado of antique cars and was a member of the Push Rods Car Club. John took great pride in meticulously restoring his 1932 Ford Model B 5-Window Coupe.

John leaves his children, John R. Connelly (Linda) of North Andover and Rebecca A. Connelly (Lori Maloney) of Framingham and his grandson, James R. Connelly.

Family and friends will honor and remember John's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday, August 28th from 2 to 4 p.m. followed by his funeral service at 4 p.m.
