Joan Marie McInnis

March 27, 1944 — December 30, 2022

Joan Marie (Nadeau) McInnis, 78, passed away on December 30, 2022. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Donald George McInnis, and their son, Donald Jr.

Joan worked for many years for the Ford Motor Company and retired from Ford as a regional executive. She always had boundless energy for all the projects she was involved with and worked tirelessly to support her family, as well.

Joan and Don were a formidable team, whether they were building, or renovating, custom homes in the Lincoln, MA area or indulging in their passion for sailing the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, from Maine to Florida, and spending many winter months throughout the many islands of the Caribbean Sea.

Joan and Don retired, many years ago, to Edgartown, Martha’s Vineyard, where they enjoyed island life to the fullest. Updating their carriage house home, as well as, a small bunkhouse on the property and entertaining friends and relatives were the pastimes they cherished together.

Joan will be greatly missed by her sister-in-law, Mary Holmes, and her brothers-in-law, John McInnis and Frank Spicer. She will also be lovingly remembered by nieces Dawn Noyes, Tracy Noyes, Deborah Norton, Doreen Johansen, and Courtney Snoderly, as well as her nephews William Holmes, Christopher Holmes, Barrett McInnis, and Patrick McInnis.

Family and friends will honor and remember Joan's life by gathering to visit on Wednesday, January 11th, at 10 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by her Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln.
