Bedford – Jane A. (Ryan) McEachern, of Bedford and Naples, Florida, died Friday, April 17, 2026 at Avow Hospice in Naples. She was 84.
Jane was born in Boston on July 22, 1941, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Margaret (Gillis) Ryan. She was raised and educated in Watertown and worked for many years as the office manager at CounterPulsation in Framingham, which provided essential medical equipment services to hospitals and patients throughout New England.
Jane married Joseph F. McEachern, a Saugus native, and together they settled in Waltham in 1968 to raise their family. She cherished their many travels and looked forward each year to time spent at their home in North Conway, New Hampshire, where winters brought joyful days on the ski slopes creating many happy memories with her family. Later in life, Jane and Joe embraced the sunshine of Naples, Florida, making their home at Foxfire Golf and Country Club. There she discovered a passion for golf and enjoyed playing mah-jongg with her close circle of friends.
The wife of the late Joseph F. McEachern, she leaves her children, Joseph McEachern and his wife, Kathleen, of Cambridge, Shawn McEachern and his wife, Andrea, of Marblehead and Kevin McEachern and his wife, Kristen, of Bedford; her grandchildren, Lindsay, Meghan, Alison, Madeline, Michael, Aiden, Anna, Elise and Fiona McEachern; her brothers, Kenneth Ryan of Seattle, Washington and Kevin Ryan of Watertown and several nieces, nephews and their families.
Jane was also the sister of the late Michael Ryan.
Family and friends will honor and remember Jane’s life by gathering for an Evening Wake in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, April 23rd from 4 to 7 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday morning, April 24th, in Story Chapel at Mount Auburn Cemetery, 580 Mount Auburn Street, Cambridge.
