West Newton - Isabella M. (Murone) Sinopoli was born December 20,1940, in Sambiase, Provincia di Catanzaro, Calabria, Italy a daughter of the late Antonio and Giulia (Sirianni) Murone. She was raised and educated in Italy. She married Antonio Sinopoli on May 4, 1963 and were married for over 57 years. Antonio immigrated to the United States in 1966 and in 1967, Isabella joined him with their two daughters where they settled in West Newton and shortly thereafter welcomed their son. Antonio died † January 11, 2021.
She worked hard as a seamstress for Arrow Manufacturing and later Pantos Canvas Corporation in Waltham. Isabella will be lovingly remembered for her quiet, kind and thoughtful presence. She was a fantastic cook with many family recipes and dishes prepared from her memory and traditions. She and Antonio were fortunate enough to travel back to their native Italy as well…always remembering where they came from.
Happiness for Isabella was defined as ‘la sua famiglia’. Nothing brought her more joy than three generations of family whom she doted on. Of course, she adored her three children but it was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that warmed her heart and put countless smiles on her face. She loved the welcomed role of ‘Nonna and Big Nonna’ to her ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Isabella died with her family at her side on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was 84.
She leaves her children, Concetta Costa (Salvatore) of N. Easton, Franca G. Morgan (James) of West Newton and Francesco M. ‘Frank' Sinopoli (Carole) of Marlborough; loving ‘Nonna’ of Maria Lisa Sullivan (Jay), Sofia Constantino (Robert), Charles Anthony Costa (Courtney), Nicholas Morgan (Jaime), Joseph Morgan (Chelsea), Robert Morgan (Alorra), Steven Morgan and Giulia Morgan, Cameron Sinopoli and Christopher Sinopoli; loving ‘Big Nonna’ to Nico and Luca Sullivan, Cecilia, Domenic and Anthony Constantino, Alessia Costa, Siena Jo and Sadie Morgan, Jameson and Colin Morgan; sister of Peppino Murone (late Amelia), Michele Murone (Rosa), Domenico Murone (Rosalba), all of Australia and Ottavio Murone (Patrizia) of Calabria, Italy; sister-in-law of Innocenza Mineo of West Newton and many nieces & nephews.
