Irene S. (Morelly) Bleau

June 8, 1941 — February 2, 2022

West Boylston - Irene Bleau's life was centered on three things: her faith, her family and her church. Her life was deep in faith that helped guide and sustain her throughout her eighty years. Irene died with family at her side on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. She was 80.

Irene Stella Morelly was born June 8, 1941 in Worcester a daughter of the late Charles J. and Alma (Langevin) Morelly and was a graduate of Holy Name High School. She worked at various dental practices as well as several corporate law offices and will be lovingly remembered by her associates. Many lasting friendships were made as the result of her time working at the Red Cross Blood Services.

She married Paul N. Bleau on May 16, 1964 in Saint Joseph's Church on Hamilton Street in Worcester. They lived nearly thirty-two years in Shrewsbury where St. Anne's Church became their spiritual home and where they became familiar faces of the parish. As a result they enjoyed wonderful life-long friendships with parishioners and staff, including Fr. Jim Hoey with whom they were especially close. They moved to West Boylston in 2003 to the Hillside Village Community where new and wonderful friendships quickly developed.

It was no secret she loved to shop but Irene always had others in mind and gave wonderful gifts, both big and small from her heart. They also loved to travel as much as health and time afforded . A pilgrimage to Fatima and Lourdes was a meaningful and memorable experience for Irene and Paul. She always looked forward to the many family trips to the Cape and Rye Beach which created countless memories.

Irene adored her family and the dinners often shared with and without any special occasion. She and Paul were so often on the sidelines of grandkids' games and competitions. The gift of two beautiful great-grandchildren in the past year filled her with joy. She will be remembered for her quick with and many 'Ireneism's'.

She leaves her husband of 57 years, Paul N. Bleau; her sons, Paul W. Bleau (Judy) of Auburn and Normand C. Bleau (Mandi Sue) of Brookline, New Hampshire; her four grandchildren, Lauren Mazzone (Alex), P.J. Bleau (Sami), Samantha Bleau and Zachary Boudreau; her two great-grandchildren, Charlotte Bleau and Myles Mazzone; her sister, Charlotte David of South Carolina and the late Doris Goyette; in-laws, Denise Parlier (Jon) of LaGrange, Illinois, Elaine Rynders (late William) of Auburn and Robert Bleau (late Patty) of El Paso, Texas and the late Annette J. Bleau; also survived by nieces & nephews.
