Helen J. Aucoin

Ms. Helen J. Aucoin, of Waltham, died Thursday, July 30, 2026 in Briarwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Needham. She was 70.

Born in Waltham on April 12, 1956, Helen was the daughter of the late Conrad and Rita (Mannion) Aucoin. Raised and educated in Waltham, she remained a lifelong resident of the city she loved. For many years, she worked in the kitchen at the former Piety Corner Nursing Home, where her friendly nature was appreciated by both coworkers and residents.

Helen found great joy in knitting and crocheting, creating handmade gifts that reflected her generosity and care. She treasured the companionship of her many friends and the time they spent together. Although she was not blessed with children of her own, Helen embraced her role as an aunt and great-aunt with love and devotion.

Helen leaves her sister, Suzanne C. Masciulli of South Windsor, Connecticut; her niece, Lauren Navarro (Zachary) of Boxford; nephews, Joseph Masciulli of Vernon, Connecticut and Sam Misciulli (Saona) of South Windsor, Connecticut; great-nephew and niece, Luca and Eda as well as many friends.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Helen’s life at a Morning Wake on Friday, August 7th from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rt. 20) before leaving in procession to Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery.
