Harry A. Reidy

July 20, 1909 — July 13, 2003

Mr. Harry A. Reidy of Waltham died Sunday July 13, 2003 at Avery Manor in Needham. He was 93.

Born in Somerville, a son of the late John and Catherine (Mullaney) Reidy, he worked for many years as an electrician for John Donnelly Advertising Company. He was a resident of Waltham for over 50 years and a member of Saint Jude Church. He was also a 66 year member of IBEW Local #103. He will always be fondly remembered by those who knew him as a decent man and a true gentleman. Mr. Reidy was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army.

He leaves his wife Genevieve H. (Bourget) Reidy, one daughter Hazel M. Scalia of Springfield, VA, one sister Edna F. Foley of Millis, and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Reidy was a brother of the late Evelyn Leger, Loretta Girouard, Francis, William, Edward, Arthur and John Reidy.

The Funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, July 18, from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Watertown.

Visiting hours are Thursday, July 17, 4-8 p.m.
