Warwick, MA - Mrs. Gloria L. (Domings) Machado, of Warwick, formerly of Waltham, died Saturday, September 2, 2023 at home with family after a period of declining health. She was 94.
Born on December 18, 1928 in Somerville, she was a daughter of the late John and Pauline (Costa) Domings. Raised and educated in Somerville she graduated high school in 1945 and later married Joseph Machado in 1950. After forty-six years of marriage Joseph died April 12, 1996.
As a young girl Gloria worked at the Necco Factory in Boston packaging products to sent to the troops in the war.
Gloria was passionate about bingo with friends, being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and knitting and crocheting, always ready to create beautiful gifts for family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Joe she is predeceased by her siblings, Laura, Mary, Edward, John, Arthur, William and Robert Domings.
She leaves her children, Joseph Machado and his wife, Nancy, Michael Machado, all of Warwick, Judith Fahey and her husband, James of Ashland, Timothy Machado and his wife, Antoinette of Charma, New Mexico, Paul Machado and his wife, Rita of Pelham, New Hampshire; her grandchildren, Deanna McCarthy and her husband, Travis, Heather Fuhrmann and her hsuand, Thomas, Brianna and Ashlie, Timothy and Paul; her great-grandchildren, Gavin, Brady, Lyla, Kya, Miles, and Aden; many nieces & nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Gloria's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, on Sunday, September 10th from 2 to 5 p.m.
Funeral services and burial in Mount Feake Cemetery will be private.
