Genevieve H. Reidy

Mrs. Genevieve H. (Bourget) Reidy of Waltham died Wednesday August 20th, 2003 in Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital, Brighton. She was 88. Born in Boston, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Lewis) Bourget, Mrs. Reidy worked for many years as a secretary for John Donnelly Advertising Company. During World War II Mrs. Reidy received a pilot’s certificate through the Women’s Air Corps. Mrs. Reidy was the wife of the late Harry A. Reidy. She is survived by her daughter Hazel M. Scalia of Springfield, VA, her sister, Lillian Stuart of Bethesda, MD and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Watertown. Visiting hours Friday, 6-9 p.m.
