Gail A. (Bardsley) Dennehy, of Waltham, died at home on Sunday, May 18, 2025. She was 71.
Gail was born in Waltham on August 17, 1953, a daughter of Edna (Fleury) Bardsley of Waltham and the late Lewis Bardsley and had been a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Waltham High School and Brymans Institute in Brighton.
She worked for years as a dental office manager, most recently for Dr. Barry Agranat in Watertown.
Gail enjoyed life’s simple pleasures . . . a cup of tea or reading a good book or watching her favorite team, the Boston Bruins. She was a longtime ‘Team Mom’ for her kids teams in Waltham Youth Hockey, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, Lily and Willow who affectionately called her ‘GG’.
Gail and her family created many wonderful summer memories with yearly vacations to Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. She will long be remembered for being warm, loving, kind and generous.
In addition to her mother, she leaves her husband of fifty years, Michael S. Dennehy; her children, Matthew P. Dennehy (Shannon), Jeffrey L. Dennehy (Marissa) and Jessica E. Dennehy (Nathaniel Jarnis; her grandchildren, Lily Dennehy and Willow Jarnis and several nieces, nephews and their families.
Family and friends will honor and remember Gail’s life by gathering for an Evening Wake in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, May 27th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning when her Funeral Service will be held at 9 a.m. Committal services will be held at Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
