*** CHANGE OF DAY FOR FRANK'S FUNERAL; WAKE HOURS REMAIN THE SAME ***

Frank's wake will be held as scheduled, today, Monday, February 12th from 4 to 8 p.m.  

His Funeral Mass and burial have been postponed to Thursday, February 15th. The Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. at Saint Patrick's Church in Watertown followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Frank Ruisi, longtime Watertown resident, died Monday, February 5, 2024 after a lengthy illness at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln with his wife, Arlene, and his children and loved ones at his side.  He was 75 years old.

Frank Ruisi was a hard worker throughout his life. As a well-respected foreman for Local # 3 Bricklayer and Allied Craftsman his handprint is on countless structures in and around the City of Boston including Suffolk School of Law, The Federal Courthouse in Seaport, and TD Garden to name a few.

Francesco Ruisi was born December 6, 1948 in Palermo, Sicily, Italy, one of eight children to the late Lorenzo and Giuseppa (Caminita) Ruisi. Raised in Palermo he immigrated to the United States at age 17 settling in Somerville. He raised and educated three daughters and was a loving father.

Frank married Arlene Centamore, a native of Watertown, at Ocean View Country Club in Nahant on September 27, 1996. Frank and Arlene enjoyed singing and dancing together over their 30 year relationship. Frank loved tending his roses and vegetable garden, loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. 

 Frank especially loved music of all genres, including opera. The love of music and dance was a powerful connection for Frank and Arlene. 

In addition to his beloved wife, Arlene E. (Centamore) Ruisi, he leaves his daughters, Cynthia Friedman and husband, Adam of Bourne, Maryjo Ferrick and husband, Stephen of Londonderry, New Hampshire, Diana Coco and husband, Sam of Dracut; his step-son, Michael Doherty and wife, Oldita of Reading; his grandchildren, Ryan, Jake and Alex Friedman, Christopher and Nathan Ferrick, Carina and Elaina Coco and Ella Rose Doherty; his siblings, Salvatore Ruisi and his wife, Franca of Palermo, Italy, Pietro Ruisi and late wife, Cristina of Medford, the late Gaetano Ruisi and his wife, Anna of Stoneham, the late Fortunata Puccio and late husband, Gaspare of Medford, the late Domenica Dealtan and late husband, Basilio of Melrose, Mariarosa Puccio and late husband, Giovanni of Medford, Eleanora Schena and her husband, Gerrardo of Medford; also survived by many nieces & nephews. 

Family and friends will honor and remember Frank’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, February 12th from 4 to 8 p.m. 

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 15th in Saint Patrick’s Church, 212 Main Street, Watertown.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
