Florence E. King

Waltham – Mrs. Florence E. ( Smith ) King of Waltham died Monday, August 25, 2003 in the Epoch Senior Healthcare Center in Weston. She was 81. A lifelong Waltham resident, Mrs. King was a secretary at the Waltham Federal Savings Bank as well as the Waltham Hospital where she had worked for twenty years. She was the wife of he late George F. King Sr., the daughter of the late Samuel and Elizabeth ( Manning ) Smith, and the sister of the late John Smith, Robert Smith, and Edna Beck. Mrs. King is survived by her sons, George F. King Jr. and Colin J. King both of Waltham and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held on Thursday at 8 am from the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street, Waltham, at 9 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
