Ernest R. Fiorelli, Sr.

Ernest R. ‘Dicky’ Fiorelli of Dade City, FL, formerly of Waltham, MA, died Wednesday, May 7, 2025 in Dade City. He was 81.

Dicky was born May 14, 1943, in Waltham. He was the son of the late Ernest and Rose (Vanaria) Fiorelli and younger brother of the late Carolyn (Fiorelli) Tarantino. He was raised in Waltham and then Lincoln, MA where he graduated from Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School in 1961. He was proud of his large, Italian family, spending much of his early life surrounded by his many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He spent his career as an account executive for the Getty Oil Corporation, relocating to Las Vegas to care for his aging father in retirement. In those final years, his father could have been in no better hands until his death in 2014, a testament to the bond between father and son.

After many years, casino promotions and buffets in Las Vegas, Dicky decided to move to Florida in May of 2023 to be closer to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dicky loved to work with his hands, doing many things from woodworking to remodeling to cooking. In his younger years, he enjoyed boating and fishing.

He leaves behind his children, Ernest R. ‘Richard’ Fiorelli Jr. (Heather) of Dade City and Jeanne F. Edwards of Zephyrhills, FL; his grandchildren, Meagan Edwards, Ashley Edwards, Jackson Fiorelli (Hannah), Austin Fiorelli; great-grandchildren, Alexander Edwards and Everett Fiorelli, along with many cousins and nieces and nephews. He will be missed.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Ernest's life on Tuesday, May 20th in Mount Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect Street, Waltham where his graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Please join the procession at the main entrance in the cemetery. There are no calling hours.
