Emil F. Gruber

Waltham- Mr. Emil F. Gruber of Waltham died Saturday December 27, 2003 in Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Brighton. He was 92. Born in Vienna, Austria a son of the late Markus and Erma (Spitzer) Gruber, Mr. Gruber has lived in Waltham since 1949 and was a hairdresser as well as the owner of Emil’s Beauty Salon on Tremont Street, Boston for over forty years. Mr. Gruber will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and the ability to make one smile. Mr. Gruber was an avid Red Sox fan and a supporter of Waltham Youth Baseball and Adult Softball Programs. Mr. Gruber was the husband of the late Stella J. (Adler) Gruber. He is survived by one son, Steven M. Gruber and his wife Grace of Waltham, one daughter, Marion E. Clough and her husband Kenneth of Westford; one brother Otto Gruber of Israel; his grandchildren Lauren Eaton and Michele Andriolo both of Waltham, Lisa Clough of Hudson, NH and Kristine Bettencourt of Chelmsford. Funeral Services and Burial will be private. Donation’s in Mr. Gruber’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
